- AUCTION 11- Starts on Friday, December 30th 2022- Pigeons participating in the Bragança final arrived after the 1780th classification, plus pigeons not activated by their owners for the final.
- AUCTION 12- Starts on Friday, January 6th, 2023- Pigeons that arrived at the loft and did not participate in the Bragança final, plus unsold pigeons.
- AUCTION 13- Starts Friday, January 13th 2023- Pigeons not paid by buyers at auctions.
2022 AUCTIONS
Auctions for the pigeons participating in the 2022 edition will start on Friday 21 October.
The pigeons will be auctioned in order of the Bragança final number classification. In the 10 lots are the pigeons that arrived until the classification 1780º.
All arrivals after the 1780th classification will go up for auction in an extra auction to be held at the end.

REGULATION
8- TAXES-The values mentioned in the Regulation include VAT at the rate in force, as long as applicable, and all prizes are in euros. According to the opinion of the Portuguese Tax Authority and Portuguese law, all participants / members living in Portugal who have received money from prizes, sales of pigeons or commissions, will be responsible for paying the IRS tax (25%), referring to these amounts, with retention for part of the AGR of this amount, which will then be sent to the Tax Authority, as required by law. Non-residents in Portugal are exempt from paying the tax, with no withholding (25%), and prizes will be paid in full, but winners need send to AGR email CERTIFICATE TAX RESIDENCE, or model 21-RFI stamped; if they do not present proof of residence out of Portugal, the AGR will have to deduct 25% from the prize money, and then send this money to the Portuguese Tax Authorit
LIST PIGEONS RESERVE FOR FINAL
EN- We present a list of unpaid pigeons that are free for activation by anyone, €500 each pigeon.
Send request to email golden.race.algarve@gmail.com and we will answer if the pigeon is still free or if it has already been activated, and only after our answer you must make payment and send proof to us.

PIGEONS FOR THE FINAL BRAGANÇA
The time for activations by the owners of their reserve pigeons for the Golden Race final on October 1st has ended today.
- We ask all participants to check in the Benzing, in the classification of Castelo Branco, semi-final, if they have all the paid pigeons as active.
- The pigeons listed in Benzing as a reserve are unpaid reserve pigeons, or unpaid teams, and will be available for activation by anyone from 11 am on Monday 26 September 2022, when the full list will be published.
- Requests for activation's to the mail golden.race.algarve@gmail.com , indicating which pigeon you want to activate, and the organization will inform you if the pigeon is still free, and if it is, the activator must make a bank transfer 500€, and send a copy to the golden email, and thus the activation will be effective.
- The activator retains all rights to the pigeon from this date, prizes and percentage of the sale 35%.
Requests for activation's sent by email will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis after the list is published.
- The pigeon owners have until 8pm on Sunday 25th September to complain about any situation to the golden race email and after that date no complaints will be accepted, and the pigeons listed in the benzing as a reserve will be placed for activation by anyone.

2022 REGULATION
In the semifinal Castelo Branco 300km, and final Bragança 500km, only ACTIVATED pigeons are entitled to prizes.
- Pigeon owners can activate RESERVE pigeons for the semi-final and final until September 15, 2022, upon payment of €500 per pigeon.
- RESERVE pigeons that are not activated by the owners until September 15, 2022 participate in the Castelo Branco semi-final- 300 km, but without the right to prizes.
- Pigeons that return from the Castelo Branco semi-final, can be activated to final race by the owners until the day. September 23, 2022.
- Pigeons not activated by the owners to final race until the 23rd of September can be activated by third parties on the 26th, 27th and 28th of September, to participate in the Bragança-500km final, which will have full rights over the pigeon, being entitled to the prizes won from this date , and %% on auction sale ( 35 %). The price of each registration/activation per RESERVE pigeon will be 500 euros. For activations contact agent in your country, or send email to golden.race.algarve@gmail.com . Reservation requests will be sorted in order of arrival of the request to the email.
- All pigeons not activated by owners or third person until 28 September 2022, will be held back in the loft – They will not be basketed for the final, and these pigeons will become the property of the organization, that will offer them to pigeon clubs or other social organizations, for auction and thus obtain income

- Castelo Branco semi-final will take place tomorrow Saturday, September 17th 2022, with basketing tonight.
- All teams were remodeled, those that had lost some or both of the initially active pigeons, the reserve pigeons then became active, and the remaining reserve pigeons and were activated by the participants for the semi-final also became Active.
Participants must check the current status in Benzing and verify that all paid pigeons are active.

All pigeons that are in reserve, and those not paid, do not win prizes in the semi final but can be activated by the owner or by third parties for the final Bragança on 1 October.
As we had only 3 days to update the Benzing with the reformulation of the teams and the transfer of reserve pigeons to active, and as reserve pigeons do not win prizes in the semi final, and due to the large volume of work that took place, with hundreds of requests by email , by whatsapp, message, facebook, for activation and the reformulation of the teams, we accept that there may be a request that has not been seen, so any claim that may exist will only be accepted if proven with the payment of activation until 3 pm ( Portuguese time) of 16 September 2022.

Participation in the semi-final Castelo Branco SILVER RACE
All activated pigeons + reserve pigeons participate in the semi-final, but only activated pigeons win prizes.
Reserve pigeons not activated for the semi-final can be activated for the final by the owner, or by a third person, within the deadlines established in the Regulations.
The teams that lost any of the 2 Active pigeons initially paid (inscription value) will now be remodeled, changing the Reserve pigeon to Active, first R1, then R2, and then R3, so that the team has 2 Active pigeons.
Reserve pigeons that remain in the team will also become Active after payment for activation (€500 per pigeon).
The update will be made up to the 4267º classification of Portalegre. If from now on, and if until the final, a pigeon arrives that was with Active, it passes to Reserve, because another one has already taken its place as Active.

GOLDEN RACE ALGARVE- MILLION EURO PIGEON RACE
Dear Golden Race Algarve participant.
As you know, and it is stated in regulation 2022, for the semi-final SILVER RACE only the activated and paid pigeons win prizes, as well as 2 pigeons are already paid with entry, whoever has more than 2 pigeons, and wants them to win prizes in the semi-final have to activate them until Thursday, September 15th, to the agent in the country, or to the email golden.race.algarve@gmail.com, sending proof of payment and indicating the number of the pigeon ring to activate, as the semifinal is scheduled for Saturday, September 17th.

After meeting with the official Golden Race Meteorologist, and analyzing the weather for the next few days, it was decided to hold the third race & ace pigeon Portalegre, tomorrow Saturday 10th September 2022, with basketing tonight.

The Org AGR informs that after meeting with the meteorologist, and after analyzing the weather forecast for next Tuesday, September 6th, the day scheduled for the second Monforte race, and the following days, it appears that the area scheduled for release, it will be with low clouds and fog for several days. So, according to the weather forecasts, tomorrow Monday September 5th, is the day that, offers some conditions to do the release.
So let's basket the pigeons tonight and try to release them tomorrow.

After the first race was held yesterday, August 30, 2022, with a 168km release in Alandroal, a race that became very hard for the pigeons, we are now going to let them rest and recover well for the second race, which we plan to do in next Tuesday, September 6th, with a scheduled release in Monforte 205 km.

GOLDEN RACE ALGARVE- MILLION EURO PIGEON RACE
FIRST OFFICIAL RACE/ ACE PIGEON, ALANDROAL-168KM WINNER- MIJNIS GIJSEN- HOLLAND
Yesterday, August 30, 2022, the first official race 2022 took place, with release in Alandroal- 168km.
According to meteorological forecasts, the weather in the morning would be good for the release, which happened, with temperatures of around 18º degrees, and west / northwest wind which would make the pigeons enter Spain and then fly against the wind to go to towards the loft, which would normally happen.
The first pigeons arrived well and arrived in the early hours in small groups, which is good, but with the increase in temperature the late pigeons must have landed and only got up in the afternoon and many are still arriving at the loft.
The big winner was the pigeon NL 4851-De Pyreneeen 3, from Mijnis Gijsen, from Holland, who won the car.
Congratulations to the winner and to those who won one of the 100 prizes up for grabs in this race.

Due to the fog existing in the release area and surroundings, the release of the first official race and pigeon Ace 2022 was cancelled, and will be held on a date to be indicated by the AGR Organization.

GOLDEN RACE ALGARVE- MILLION EURO PIGEON RACE
The first official race and Pigeon Ace 2022 is scheduled for tomorrow, August 26th.
The release will be in Redondo , coordinates , Latitude +038.40.01.3 and Longitude -007.39.58.9 , with a distance from the loft of 165,189 km.
All Active and Reserve pigeons participate in the first 3 races / Ace Pigeon, all entitled to a Prize.
In the fourth official race, Semi final Castelo Branco and final Bragança, only paid (activated) pigeons are entitled to win prizes.

5- ACE PIGEON - REGULATION
– All the pigeons that entered the loft, the ACTIVE pigeons 1 and 2 and the RESERVE 1-2-3 compete with the ACE pigeon. Reserve pigeons only participate in the final race and in the Ace Pigeon, if activated until September 26th, 2021. The winner will be the pigeon in which the total of the average speed in the 5 races ACE Pigeon, Azaruja, Monforte, Portalegre, Castelo Branco and the final race Bragança, divided by the number of races performed, is the highest. If after the semi-final a pigeon is activated for the final by a person other than the owner, that person is entitled to the prize that the pigeon wins on the Ace pigeon after this date.
- To win the Ace Pigeon, the pigeon must classify in all 5 Ace Pigeon races held.
- If it is not possible realize some race to count for Ace Pigeon, to find the winner count the races held
- In case of a tie after the conclusion of the Ace Pigeon competition, the pigeon with the best classification in the final race will be the winner of the Ace Pigeon.
- Absolute strictness regarding the release location, so that in all release locations, coordinates will be taken via GPS/GOOGLE MAPS.
6- RACE TIME:
INFORMATION- 9th training 2022 Vidigueira.
Today was not a good day for the Golden Race, first at the release place the pigeons took a long time to orientation themselves and leave the release place, which will make it difficult to arrive at the loft, as temperatures will rise quickly.
We can think that it was too early to release, but in previous trainings the time was the same and the pigeons quickly left the place of release. We tried to understand why and we didn't see any reason for this to happen, because although high temperatures were predicted during the day but in the morning it was cool, and we arrived at the release place at 5.50 am, we gave water to the pigeons at 6.30 am and the release took place. up at 7.10 am with good visibility and with the sun already high.
It seems all right, but something wasn't right.
After arriving at the loft, and despite we having tested the system before, a connection cable between the clock and the computer was disconnected or making a bad connection, which did not allow recording the pigeons that arrived in the first 5/6 minutes.
So let's hope that all this described has served as a lesson for the future.
Next week, Friday, the first official race 2022 will take place, with monetary prizes up for grabs, and all pigeons will be basketed 1 to 1 and the rings checked.
So, next week, there will be many more pigeons on the basketing list than the arrivals from this training in Vidigueira.

Due to the high temperatures expected for the end of August and for the next month of September, which will be the hottest September ever, and because of the 3 official races and the semifinal to be held in late August and throughout the month of September , we are here to inform all participants that the dates scheduled and included in the calendar may be changed according to the information provided to us by our meteorologist, about the best day for the releases.
