GOLDEN RACE ALGARVE- MILLION EURO PIGEON RACE AUCTIONS 2024
We present a list of pigeons for auction, arrived from the final, after participating in 11 training sessions, 6 HOTSPOT + the final race, a true selection of pigeons coming from the best pigeon fanciers in the world and that will raise the quality level of any breeding colony, in any loft.

GOLDEN RACE ALGARVE 2024 - PRIZE INFORMATION
Now that the Golden Race Algarve 2024 has finished, with the final race taking place on October 5th, we would like to inform you of the following:
- As you know, all prizes are subject to a 25% tax.
- Foreigners do not pay this tax (25%) and will receive the full prize, provided they send us by mail (the original) the CERTIFICATE OF TAX RESIDENCE from the country of tax residence.

GOLDEN RACE ALGARVE 2024- 6th HOTSPOT 2024
Analyzing the weather forecasts for the next few days, AGR decided to hold the 6th HOTSPOT 2024 on September 23, Monday, with basketing on Sunday night, with release in PENAMACOR- 330 km

As there are currently around 50 active fires in Portugal, with a lot of burned forest, houses and some deaths, and with large amounts of smoke in the air, which spreads easily through the air, we have decided not to hold the training tomorrow, Wednesday, September 18th, and also to give the pigeons a few more days of rest, not only from the training flight, but also from basketing, which takes several hours, as the pigeons have been racing very hard lately.
We are thinking of holding the 6th HOTSPOT next Tuesday, September 24th, if the weather conditions and the fires allow it.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
After the last Hotspot 4. in which the race became very tough, and many late pigeons arrived, we understand that as preparation for HOTSPOT 5, which we intend to do at the next friday 13, it would be beneficial to do a training with few km, to give confidence to the pigeons for the return to the loft.
We understand that with the period of activations going on, wouldn't be doing the training, but we understand that it is necessary for pigeons.
So tomorrow Tuesday 10 September , we’ll be doing a 40/50 km training, wit basketing tonight.
We further report that if there are changes to any team with fewer pigeons , or any already activated pigeon is not in the basketing list for Hotspot 5, , we will return the money paid.

ONLY ACTIVATED/PAID PIGEONS WIN PRIZES
ACTIVATION TIMES FOR PIGEON OWNERS - from 4th September to 10th September
- After HOTSPOT 4 and before HOTSPOT 5, all teams that have more than 2 pigeons per team, and want the 3rd, 4th or fifth pigeon to participate and win prizes in HOTSPOT 5, 6 and Final need to activate them for a additional 500 Euros for each pigeon, until September 10th.
ACTIVATION TIME FOR THIRD PARTIES (ANYONE) - from September 25th to September 30th
- Pigeons not activated by their owners until September 10th, for HOTSPOT 5,6 and FINAL, can be activated by anyone else, for the FINAL RACE for an additional €750 after HOTSPOT 6 (from September 25th to 30th) and who will have all rights to the pigeon from this date onwards, being entitled to the prizes he wins, and %% when sold at auction (35%),
TEAMS WITH INITIAL REGISTRATION NOT PAID
The pigeons from the teams whose owners did not pay the initial registration fee will be for sale from Hotspot 4 until September 20th, for €500 per pigeon, for anyone else, with the buyer having all rights over the pigeons. GOLDEN RACE ALGARVE 2024- HOTSPOT 3- MONFORTE, 207km- INFORMATION
- After consulting our meteorologist, Captain Fernando Garrido, and analyzing the weather forecast for this week, in order to schedule the 50km training and Hotspot 3, we came to the conclusion that the best day to hold Hotspot 3 will be Wednesday, August 28th, as rain and thunderstorms are expected in the release area and surroundings on Friday, August 30th.
- Checking the condition of the pigeons in the loft, and holding the 3rd Hotspot on the 28th, it was understood that the pigeons are fine, have recovered well, and the last pigeons to arrive received special attention in order to recover quickly.
- Although we understand that it would be good for the pigeons to rest for longer time, but between having it on Wednesday, August 28th, with good weather and waiting until Friday, August 30th and not being able to release the pigeons, or it could become a very difficult race, it was decided to hold Hotspot 3, on Wednesday, August 28th, with the release in Monforte, 207km, where the minimum temperature will be 15º and the maximum 33º.
- We regret that we cannot meet the scheduled dates, but the weather is unstable, as it is either high temperatures, or rain and thunderstorms, and so we have to manage the race day by day, or week by week.

GOLDEN RACE ALGARVE 2024
1st HOTSPOT/ ACE PIGEON 2024 - August 13th - Monte Trigo 136km
We would like to inform you that after analyzing, together with the meteorologist, the weather conditions for this week, we found that tomorrow, Tuesday, August 13th, is the best day of the week with minimum temperatures of 17º and maximum temperatures of 31º at the release place, and on the way to the pigeon loft, so we will carry out the release in Monte Trigo, 136 km.

Some cloudiness is expected in the morning, so the release is scheduled for around 8.30 am, but temperatures at that time will still be 19/20º.

As the first HOTSPOT / OFFICIAL RACE and ACE PIGEON was scheduled for the 16th of August, and it will not be possible to release pigeons in the next 7/8 days due to the large increase in minimum temperatures of 21º and maximum temperatures of 40º in the entire area scheduled for the next releases, we will hold the first HOTSPOT / OFFICIAL RACE AND ACE PIGEON of 2024 tomorrow.

 8TH TRAINING 2024, BEJA 100KM

We inform you that after consulting the weather conditions for the next few days, we found that the best day to carry out the 8th training session in 2024 is tomorrow, Friday the 9th of August 2024, with release in Beja, 100km.
-The maximum temperature predicted for tomorrow in the release area and loft is 38º, but as the sky will be clear, and we intend to release at 7 am the temperature will still be 18º, with 25º at 9am and 32º at 11am.
- As we expect that the first pigeons will take around 1.20 hours to arrive at the loft, and that all the pigeons will arrive in a maximum of 2 hours, the temperatures are not ideal, but they are acceptable for the release.
